To ensure that all those carrying out research on multiple
sclerosis are aware that the Tissue Bank is a resource for tissue, members of
the Tissue Bank Team have been giving presentations at relevant medical and
scientific conferences. This is a way of making sure that the Tissue
Bank fulfils the wishes of those who have donated their tissues for use in
studies aimed at finding better treatments for multiple sclerosis.
These efforts in promoting the work of the Tissue Bank
together with the high quality of service that we offer to researchers has
resulted in our providing material to over 80 separate projects in the period
1998 to 2005 ( list of projects ).
In the last eight years, Professor Richard Reynolds
(Scientific Director) and Dr Abhi Vora (Manager) have given 42 presentations
at conferences attended by scientists and healthcare professionals with an
interest in multiple sclerosis:
